Shireen Piroja Madon is a poet, educator, and editor. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from New York University. Her poetry has appeared in or is forthcoming from Indiana Review, Prairie Schooner, Poetry Northwest, Hayden’s Ferry Review, The Greensboro Review, Wildness, The Margins, The Journal, Rattle, and Third Coast, among others. A Kundiman fellow, she has been the recipient of an Amy Award from Poets & Writers and a Bennet Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets. She has taught adult literacy and poetry in New York, and she currently works for a university press. She lives with her husband and daughters in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
